Planning two weeks in Thailand?
I intend to visit Thailand for just over two weeks in August 2007. It's my first time and although not long, because I want a great experience. I have read many blogs, sites and Lonely Planet and not type so many places that sound incredible. What is the perfect plan two weeks to travel around Thailand? Is it better to stick to the Northern parts of South or Midwest? Any advice would be appreciated!
Tour Suggestions Bangkok is the usual gateway for most travelers and you should plan on three to five days in the capital. This should allow sufficient time for visit all major tourist attractions like the Grand Palace and Temple of Emerald Buddha, Wat Arun, Wat Pho and Vimanmek Mansion. Perhaps also a trip along Chao Phraya River or a shopping trip to Chatuchak weekend market. You might also have a third tour of the city (Ayutthaya or Kanchanaburi are top choices). If a trip to the beach is your priority, Bangkok could be followed by a week at Phuket or Koh Samui Island, which offer more exotic frames. If time is limited, schools tour of Pattaya, Rayong, Cha-am and Hua Hin are closer to the capital. In another scene, northern Thailand offers many possibilities for both cultural attractions and Refreshing Getaways in the campaign. Chiang Mai is the best base for exploring the region, offering its own attractions, as well as numerous options for walking and hiking and spend three or four days, gives a good introduction. If you have more time, visitors to overnight in Mae Hong Son and Chiang Rai are well worthwhile. The travelers who already know Thailand is the Northeast region rewarding. The most traditional of our country, it is best to visit by car or bus allow five to seven days. Thailand also has excellent sporting facilities for the holidays – golf, diving, sailing and mountain biking. A two-week stay gives time for sightseeing general and special interest activities. Changes a visit to Thailand is not endless, and perhaps the best advice to consider when organizing your travel plan to return.
